Where to begin with
Teaching and Education Resources
on the Web...!

The web has been a such wonderful source of teaching materials for so many years but many educators are just now getting access to a computer and an Internet connection. The volume of educational assistance on the web is so vast, what we have done with this quick guide is just provide enough teaching and educational resources to get an educator, student or parent started in their search for more material.

Education World web site is a great place to begin with pointers to lessons plans, subject areas and links all over the web. For free educational materials, try Chalkboard And for some good articles on child development itself, Earlychildhood.Com are interesting. More news can be found at Education Week.

Now for subject areas, we can only scratch the surface because so many teachers and educators have put their own materials up for others to use, there seem to be an endless ream of classroom help. For instance, Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics & Science Education and Chemistry Hypermedia Project, along with Frank Potter's Science Gems are excellent. The Geometry Center, Catalyst, and Music Education Online are full of day to day classroom ideas.

General teacher assistance can be found at Online Educator and Syllabus Magazine./a>
Busy Teachers' WebSite K-12, Global Online Adventure Learning, and Teacher's Tools might spark some other project possibilities.

As you can see, after visiting some of these sites, the teaching aides on the web are endless. What we suggest is that you focus in on your subject area, then browse through the more general teaching and educational resources as time allows.

Enjoy and good luck!
